VONEN is strictly a global web-based platform for commuter coordination, social networking, and cost-sharing group organization. VONEN does not own, operate, manage, or maintain any vehicles, nor does it employ, contract, or provide drivers. No taxi or private vehicle bookings occur through this application.
All users acknowledge that any shared transit organized via the platform must utilize official, locally licensed public transportation, metered taxis, or authorized local public transit systems. Users assume full personal responsibility for complying with all local transportation regulations. VONEN holds zero liability for any incidents, disputes, losses, or accidents that occur during physical meetups or transit.
VONEN operates strictly as a non-commercial expense-sharing network designed to let private co-travelers voluntarily divide direct vehicle operating costs, fuel expenses, and local transit tolls (including highway, bridge, and municipal road tolls).
All shared journeys must occur strictly between individuals who maintain a pre-existing social or professional relationship (family, friends, or close professional colleagues). No member or host may make any profit whatsoever from a shared trip. VONEN does not process, aggregate, or handle financial transactions or payouts.
The total amount shared among participants may never exceed the actual, verifiable cost of that single journey. Any surplus, mark-up, service fee, tip request, commission, surge pricing, or fixed premium fee is expressly prohibited. Operating as an unlicensed commercial transport provider is strictly illegal under local transport guidelines worldwide. Any attempt to commercialize a pool will result in immediate, permanent account termination.
VONEN is designed and legally structured for operation worldwide in accordance with respective local carpooling, commuter sharing, and digital registry frameworks. VONEN actively restricts public usage to private, closed networks to align with non-commercial municipal exemptions regulated by local transport authorities.
If a user utilizes VONEN anywhere in the world, they do so on their own sole initiative and agree that they are participating in private, non-commercial cost-sharing arrangements among verified peers. Users are entirely responsible for compliance with their respective local laws, and VONEN assumes zero liability for local fines or administrative penalties incurred by users who violate local rules.
VONEN operates strictly as a software intermediary. All pools are independent, voluntary social arrangements coordinated solely between individual platform users at their own risk.
VONEN assumes zero legal, financial, or operational liability for missed flights, delayed duties, vehicular accidents, personal disputes, property damage, or financial disagreements occurring during a shared journey anywhere in the world. By using this service, users completely waive their right to pursue legal action against VONEN and its developers across all international jurisdictions.
VONEN is not a party to any agreements, arrangements, or disputes between users. Consequently, VONEN assumes zero responsibility or liability for resolving, mediating, or responding to any conflicts, financial disagreements, personal injuries, property damages, or legal claims arising between platform members.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable global laws, users agree that VONEN, its parent entities, subsidiaries, and developers shall be held entirely harmless and immune from any legal actions, claims, or lawsuits brought by users or third parties.
To preserve a safe and professional environment, users agree to provide authentic registration details. VONEN respects global data privacy frameworks.
Personal data is processed in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/nFADP) and, where applicable to users in the European Economic Area, the GDPR. Users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data at any time through the in-app support form.
The platform provides native privacy controls allowing users to hide their photos, display public nicknames instead of full names, and restrict what information is visible to other members. However, this front-end privacy does not absolve users of identity verification requirements. VONEN maintains verified back-end account records to ensure platform safety.
Verification data minimisation and retention: identifiers supplied purely for verification — phone numbers, one-time verification codes, airline work emails and staff numbers — are automatically erased six (6) days after the verification is completed or reviewed. VONEN retains only the resulting verification status and an irreversible cryptographic fingerprint (hash) of the original value, together with the date of the check, so that a completed verification can be evidenced without storing readable personal data. Users are informed of this six-day retention rule at the point where the information is submitted.
To maintain the platform's status strictly as a non-commercial peer-to-peer registry, all communications regarding pool coordination must occur exclusively through VONEN's secure, built-in in-app text chat interface. Users may exchange personal contact details at their own discretion, but are strictly prohibited from using the chat to solicit commercial payments, advertise paid transport services, or harvest other members' personal data.
System Integrity Monitoring: Users acknowledge and agree that in-app chat communications may be subject to automated system filtering and algorithmic screening for prohibited commercial keywords (including but not limited to meter cost solicitations, fixed price negotiations, or commercial payment terms). Bypassing the in-app channel will result in the immediate, permanent termination of all involved accounts without prior warning.
Administrative Verification: To enforce community safety, VONEN utilizes an external messaging verification mechanism during registration. Users explicitly consent to verifying their personal, active mobile account during the registration or profile update flow. This data is stored securely in our backend database strictly for identity validation, security routing, and account recovery.
In-App Communication Mandate: Users are strictly prohibited from negotiating fixed flat rates, charging premiums, or utilizing the platform for commercial gain. All coordination must be purely for the voluntary sharing of actual transit expenses.
VONEN is operated by Vonen, Zurich, Switzerland. All formal notices and data-protection requests may be submitted through the in-app support form.
